Inspired by my fashion roots, this collection explores the concept of time through the juxtaposition of the first/last and fastest/slowest aspects of the design process. The first and fastest part of the process: the sketch, is expressed using the final/slowest part of the process: the tedious task of sewing on lace applique'. The contrast is furthered in the direct interaction of the fashion sketch with the final fabric the garment will be made of. The study of opposites extends to the color pallet of black and white, and the replacement of the traditional stretched canvas with stretched pinstripe suiting material.
